Re: Slipknot |
I definitely think so. Not identical of course, but seem cut from the same cloth.

Re: Slipknot |
Ha! you know, just as I wrote that I had a fleeting thought to delete it, thinking that fiber metaphors come easily to me because I knit and crochet, but cutting pieces from a cloth may not resonate as an image with the guys.
And now I'm thinking of all the ghastly places the "fiber" image could go in the minds of some people around here ... I'm talking about CLOTH, guys. Knitting and sewing and the like.

Re: Slipknot |
Well you see now I was thinking of musical noodling (and not barehanded catfish noodling - not even of the John variety - but I bet he was a noodler) and crocheting never entered my mind, though I suppose there are hooks involved in music and crochet (but not in catfish noodling which is, as I say, barehanded).
Aren't we lucky that we get to play around with words all day?
:-)

Re: Slipknot |
Crochet involves a hook, yes; knitting involves two sharp, pointy needles :)

Re: Slipknot |
For awhile knitters were having their needles confiscated on airplanes. I think that's calmed down recently, though.
